Due to circumstances beyond our control, the 2009 Conference Committee had to make several changes. We regret to announce that Trish King and Heather Logan will no longer be available to us. However, we are thrilled to present a very, very capable replacement named Sue Alexander from Breslau, Ontario. Sue is a Behaviour Consultant dealing with aggression as well as a Service Dog Trainer. Please read her full bio in the next document (Meet your Speakers).
The 2009 Conference Committee is pleased to report that ALL workshop subjects to have been covered in workshops by King and Logan will remain largely unchanged although the keynote speaker now providing that workshop will of course bring their own talents to the materials. This is strong evidence of the depth of knowledge our keynotes are bringing to the 2009 conference as well as to their agreeable nature! The new workshop presenters are outlined in the next document (conference schedule).
Each participant who has registered to date will be contacted by the 2009 Conference Registrar to re-confirm workshop choices. We apologize to anyone who particularly chose the missing speakers and of course we will move the participant to a new choice (pending space availability if the new choice happens to be a limited workshop).
Announcement re: Sean Senechal workshops
Due to overwhelming popularity, Sean Senechal has agreed to put on a third workshop session. This new timeslot for W17 is scheduled for Sunday Morning at 8:15 am, at the same time as Plenary D.
In addition, the space restrictions on all three Senechal workshops for silent & non-participating observers has been lifted. The active portion of the workshop remains in the same original plan (intimate and limited: 5 working dogs & 5 assistants). However an additional 20 silent-spectator spots have been opened to individuals who just wish to watch and learn.
As noted above regarding substitutions, each participant who has registered for the 2009 Conference will be contacted by the Registrar to re-confirm workshop choices. Priority for limited spaces will remain the same as they are at present: in order of date received.
